With many thanks to our families who had travelled from Madrid, London and Connecticutt through snow and ice; our wedding was a phenomenal day. We began with a photo call at of our building, and included Mugsy as - at least in her mind - she is the lynchpin of our family. We then headed off to the Court House where the people could not have been nicer. Once everyone had arrived, including the two of Elisa's siblings who live in the US the ceremony began.
While simple, it was really nice and fun when the officiant had to say "By the power invested in me by the Congress of the United States", DC is for those who are not familiar with it a Federal Territory and ultimately under the control of the US Congress.
We asked our Mothers to be our witnesses and then everyone else to sign that that they had been with us. Then it was off in a a cab to the Cork Tasting Room, which is owned by our good friends Diane and Khalid.
